Common in the days following the procedure as the bladder heals.
Routine analgesics and anti-inflammatory medication are recommended to manage this.
These symptoms gradually subside as the bladder lining recovers.
Chemotherapy or immunotherapy instilled directly into the bladder through a catheter, often used after TURBT to prevent recurrence.
For muscle-invasive or high-risk cancer that does not respond to other treatments - removal of the bladder and nearby lymph nodes.
Often a combination is used for advanced or aggressive tumours, chosen according to type, stage, previous treatment and your overall health.
